A huge Bellevue Hill compound on 1360sqm of land with pool and harbour views is set to hit the market with hopes of up to $20m.

Businesswoman Deborah Ricci and her husband, Klaus Michelsen, a computer scientist, economist, investor and writer, snapped up the double block at 17-19 Vivian St for $700k apiece in 1993 in the sell-off of land previously occupied by Moriah College.

They commissioned the renowned architect David Walker to design the residence, which has a total of eight bedrooms, five bathrooms and garage for three cars.

The brief was to create a large family home, including a luxurious parent’s retreat overlooking the harbour, a children’s bedroom wing, a home office with its own entreance, a self-contained guest apartment and another self-contained apartment for staff.

The couple is now downsizing, so the magnificent home is up for sale in an expressions of interest campaign via D’Leanne Lewis of Laing and Simmons Double Bay and Paul Langsam of Raine and Horne Double Bay.

They have a guide of $19-$20m.
