The Hive at The Gap

The developer of Hive at The Gap is preparing to launch stage two of the project, with 70 per cent of the townhomes within the first stage snapped up within months of its launch.

Hive at The Gap, 10km from the city and in Brisbane’s northwest, is being developed by Lantona, and will feature 61 three and four-bedroom townhomes when completed.

The luxury development is proving popular with downsizers and young families, with a four-bedroom townhome in stage one starting from $689,000.

Position Property director Richard Lawrence, who is marketing the property on behalf of the developer, said there was a growing demand for modern townhomes built around design and location.

“Modern townhome projects like Hive offer an extremely comfortable and low-maintenance lifestyle with plenty of living space and style but not the price tag of a detached house,” Mr Lawrence said.

“We worked very closely with the developer from the outset to ensure the design, inclusions and standard of finishes at Hive would suit our target market.”

Mr Lawrence said the inclusion of a fourth bedroom on the ground floor of some of the townhomes appealed to a range of buyers looking for a guest room or home office, or even a future master bedroom for owners wishing to grow old in their own home.

“The strong demand we have received to date shows that when you get the location and design right, the buyers are there,” he said.

“On the strength of this demand, construction will start this year, with stage two to be released soon.” The development is opposite a nature reserve in the heart of The Gap, and is close to transport, schools, shopping and other essential services.

The two and three-storey townhomes include open-plan living, generous balconies and terraces, double or triple garages and an abundance of natural light.
